Who is the Event for?
This event
is designed to assist delegates in developing their knowledge, skills
and abilities in relation to working in partnership with others.
Sections of study within this event cover three main areas related to
working with other people.
The three areas of study within this event are:
Unit
1: Team Skills
Unit
2: Attending and Chairing Meetings
Unit 3:
Communicating Effectively to the Wider Team
Each unit
of study aims to enable delegates to develop their own skills and
understanding of the particular topic that it covers with the intention
that this will enable the delegate to establish and maintain effective
team skills and communication in order to promote and practice effective
partnership working with colleagues from their own organisation and
those from other agencies.
You will
find that there are a number of practical activities linked to this
module. These have been included to provide you with the opportunity
to evaluate your own perceptions, skills and abilities of the particular
topic. During this event you will be asked to complete a
‘self-analysis’ questionnaire, which is linked to Unit One. You will
also find some activities seek to explore your own perceptions and
outlook on things. As with any such exercises, it is normally best to
go with your first thoughts and re-actions rather than spending too much
‘thinking’ time prior to completing the activity, unless you are
instructed otherwise.
