| • What is ‘Supporting People’ trying to
achieve? – A brief guide to the concepts behind Supporting People aims and
objectives.
• ‘Supporting People’ Quality Assessment Framework – A brief explanation
of the six core objectives, standards and performance levels (participants
will have the opportunity to explore these in more depth in the afternoon).
• The Impact on service provision – Participants will consider the likely
implications for their organisations as service providers and examine ways
of setting up effective monitoring and recording systems that can be
analysed to provide evidence of performance.
• Participants will then have the opportunity to reflect on what they
have learnt, consider the need for change and the impact that this may have
on their service.
• A jewel of information or a jargon nightmare! Getting it right when
explaining ‘Supporting People’ and ‘Support Plans’ to consumers. What will
sheltered housing users want to know – and how do we provide them with that
information?
• Meeting the six core objectives of QAF – Participants will examine the
requirements of the core objectives and how they can meet these within their
organisations
• Looking at Performance – Whilst exploring the requirements of the QAF,
participants will also consider the importance of linking this to the
systems they have in place that monitor performance.
• Final session - time to reflect - where do we go from here? The group
will review what action needs to be taken to ensure future service delivery
meets the requirements of its users and funders.
