THE SHELTERED
HOUSING NETWORK are marketing an effective method of record
keeping within sheltered schemes. Much interest has already
been shown in the SHN Log Book and some organisations are now in
the first stages of introducing this and the feedback is very positive.
SHN has been working on
developing a Software package, which will provide a range of
options for using the SHN Log Book either on a stand alone PC, on
PC's linked to an Intrenet and also via the SHN Web Site.
Ray Sawyer-James, Founder of SHN
commented "The Log Book provides centralised information and
simplifies recording. It can be used to produce statistics on
service standards and supports staff in demonstrating that they
give a quality service. The new Software package will enable
greater flexibility by allowing access from both remote locations,
district offices and on-site at the sheltered scheme".
Colin Graney, who is currently working on the new package said
"we hope to have a working version, which prospective users
will be able to try out by the end of this year.
