Procedure Manual Costs

SHN have developed a 'skeleton' procedure manual detailing most of the procedures carried out in sheltered housing schemes. As you will appreciate, all organisations have differing procedures and even where tasks are the same the procedure for carrying out that task differs from one organisation to another. Therefore the procedure manual does need to be customised to suit an organisation. The Sheltered Housing Network can offer the following customisation options:

Option 1

SHN send you a draft procedure manual You review this, adding, amending and/or subtracting procedures as required and return it to SHN SHN draw up a draft copy of the procedure manual and submit it to you for any amendments to be made. This is then returned to SHN for a final copy of the procedure manual to be produced Cost £1.180 + VAT for SHN Members or £1,390 + VAT for Non Members Comment: This option is designed primarily for organisations that have an existing procedure manual in place and wish to update it into the SHN flowchart format. Although this is the most cost effective method it is likely to be quite drawn out due to the fact that all procedures will not be available to you or SHN at the start of the process. I envisage a fair amount of review and amendment of draft copies.

Option 2

SHN send you a list of procedure titles You review this list, adding, amending and/or subtracting procedures as required You set up a working party and advise SHN of the members contact details SHN provide a training day for the working party (to explain procedures, the flowchart format, the importance of following procedures, etc.) At the end of the training day working party members will be tasked with reviewing specific procedures after which, the revised procedures will be returned to SHN. SHN draw up a draft copy of the procedure manual and submit it to you for any amendments to be made. This is then returned to SHN for a final copy of the procedure manual to be produced Cost £1,625 + VAT for SHN Members or £1,915 + VAT for Non Members (plus travel and accommodation) Comment: This option is designed primarily for organisations that are looking to utilise the SHN flowchart format to develop a procedure manual. It is an effective method both for organisations who have existing procedures in place, which may need extensive updating and equally for those organisations who have little or no written procedures in place. This option also enables the organisation to use the process as an effective team building exercise, involving staff throughout the process thereby creating a sense of ownership.
