The Sussex Gerontology Network is well known for its pioneering work in promoting tenants, staff and sheltered housing providers to work in consultation to develop sheltered housing services.  The current committee reflect this collaborative approach being made up of tenants, scheme managers, service managers and housing consultants - not forgetting of course its founder, Professor Peter Lloyd.

Previous workshops have always been popular and there is no reason to assume that this will be any different.  Ray Sawyer-James (founder of The Sheltered Housing Network) recalls the last workshop that he was involved in.  "The workshop was set around the debate of 'Resident v Non-Resident staff in sheltered housing.  The attendance was over 100 and the atmosphere was electric!  I was really pleased that I was asked to speak at the conference.  I still meet people who are talking about the event"
