General Information
This one day training event will
focus on the management of a workforce where the workers are largely unseen and
required to work in private homes providing support services to people living
within sheltered housing.
Ageing populations coupled with
greater longevity are increasing the need for home based support services to
enable people to live independent lives and maintain better health status. This
coupled with the implementation of ‘Supporting People’ strategy is increasing
the demand for home based support services.
Aims & Objectives of The Course
Service Managers of sheltered housing
are faced with the dilemmas of managing high volumes of clients and staff in the
most efficient way possible.

Summary
The course is designed to be flexible
and the content and setting can be varied to meet the particular requirements of
individual groups. Participants will be encouraged to adopt a supportive and
positive approach to the group as a whole. It is hoped that this will allow
individuals to achieve greater proficiency and confidence through taking part in
a stimulating and enjoyable learning programme.
