Who is the Event for?
This event
is designed to assist delegates in developing their knowledge, skills
and abilities in relation to maintaining safe working practices.
Sections of study within this event cover three main areas related to
safe working practices.
The three
areas of study within this third module are:
Unit
1: Health & Safety Practices in Sheltered / Supported
Housing
Unit
2: Safe Practices for Lone Workers
Unit 3: Assessing Risks in relation to the provision of
service in Sheltered / Supported Housing
Each
section of study aims to enable students to develop their own skills and
understanding of the particular topic that it covers with the intention
that this will enable the student to establish and maintain safe working
practices as a lone worker.
During
this event you may find that particular topics will create an
opportunity for you to revisit and re-evaluate specific incidents and/or
experiences that you may have had in relation to the subject of lone
working practices. This in turn may lead you to explore your own
thoughts and feelings in relation to that particular incident /
experience or other issues that you face within your daily work
setting. When looking at and evaluating your own self-awareness, it is
important to recognise that this process is not designed to judge you as
an individual, but as a tool that you can utilise in assisting you to
further develop your own professional practice.
