Implementing the Refreshed QAF - C1.3 Safeguarding & Protection from Abuse

General Information

This training is designed to provide support staff with sufficient understanding about the different types of abuse, who the perpetrators of abuse might be, why they might abuse and the indicators to look out for. It will look at the legal framework that providers need to address, recruitment issues, professional boundaries and associated policies such as whistle blowing, so that staff are equipped to deliver their services with the protection of their clients from abuse in mind.

 

Suitable for

All staff who are involved in the delivery of support services, both front line staff & managers

Summary

The course is designed to be flexible and the content and setting can be varied to meet the particular requirements of individual groups.

A range of training methods will be used in delivering the course content. This will assist in ensuring effective input of course material. Participants will be encouraged to take an active part in each session

Participants will be encouraged to adopt a supportive and positive approach to the group as a whole. It is hoped that this will allow individuals to achieve greater proficiency and confidence through taking part in a stimulating and enjoyable learning programme.
