This one-day course will assist participants to sharpen
their Health & Safety skills and create a greater understanding of
Health & Safety practice in sheltered housing. The
course is designed primarily for people who work in sheltered housing and
who have a direct responsibility for the management of Health & Safety
within sheltered housing schemes.Line
managers may also find this course beneficial in developing their
understanding of the particular issues and impact that Health & Safety
legislation may have within sheltered housing.A range of training methods will be used in delivering the course
content. This will assist in ensuring effective input of course material.
Participants will be encouraged to take an active part in each session.
Aims & Objectives Of The Course
The aim of the course is to explore the issues that are
particularly relevant within sheltered housing in relation to Health &
Safety and how to establish a pro-active way of identifying potential
risks and eliminating/reducing these.Participants will develop their skills, attitudes and knowledge in
the areas of:
