Course Title (A.M. – 09.30 to 12.30):

3 into 1 Does Go!!  Linking Needs & Risk Assessment with the Support Planning Process

 

Overall aim of the training:

  • To assist participants in developing a pro-active approach that is ‘person centred’ when setting up and reviewing support plans.

  • To help participants to recognise how needs & risk assessment link together with support planning to make one complete package

 

Objectives

By the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • Provide Support that enhances self esteem and independence

  • Identify and monitor Outcomes within the Support Planning process.

  • Address some of the key issues around the management of support planning

  • Highlight any risks of not meeting needs that have been identified.

  • List any associated risks that may be linked to the provision of service.

  • Produce an action plan on how to put what you have learnt into practice

 

 

Course Title (P.M. – 1.30 to 4.30):

Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults against Abuse (includes a self study workbook valued at £29.95)

 

Overall aim of the training:

·         To assist participants to establish a framework for investigating adult abuse and to understand their role in working with victims and perpetrators

·         To enable participants to facilitate a ‘partnership’ approach – utilising the resources of other agencies

·         Handling Disclosure – The issue of confidentiality

 

Objectives

By the end of the course participants should be able to:

·         Define the meaning of the word ‘abuse’

·         Identify signs of abuse

·         Describe sources of support for victims, perpetrators and staff

·         Explain appropriate action that can be taken within the constraints of the delegate’s job role

·         Address some of key issues around the management of abuse cases

·         Produce an action plan on how to put what you have learnt into practice
